Brilliant service from Portland Stone. Had a few queries before placing my order and my emails were answered promptly. Ordered in the afternoon and order turned up early next morning. Driver offloaded the order exactly where I wanted and even unloaded bags from the pallet and took away the pallet. Highly recommend Portland Stone for any material supplies. Made an online order for 2 tonnes of gravel and from start to finish it was such an easy process. We had water coming in along our patio door. There is a canopy above the door so we weren’t sure where the issue was coming from. Tony responded to our call quickly and came to assess the issue. He thought the issue was coming from the seal around the canopy. He came back the next day and resealed the canopy before heavy rain was due later that day. Tony offered us the most effective solution to our issue in a timely manner and at a reasonable cost. We have since had several periods of heavy rain and water is no longer coming through the window. I have worked with several builders over the years, and cannot recommend Simon Colmer from Stag Builders highly enough. He is knowledgeable in all building work, and his ability to handle the process of installing heavy duty RSJ to the minor finishes in carpentry in a calm friendly manor speaks for itself. Normally when I'm renovating a property, I have had to source people for each job, for example tiler, plumber, decorator etc. But in this case Mr Colmer had me covered with a professional team who all worked to his very high standard. Simon went into a lot of detail with the kitchen extension and he came up with a competitive quote. He had a great team of tradespeople working with him and they have done a fabulous job. Simon project managed the works, liaising with the other tradesmen and BCP building inspector as well as the structural engineer who drew up the plans.
