This was our second project with Lexden Builders so we were confident from the outset that everything would run as smoothly as possible and we were not disappointed. The project this time was much larger but despite there being lots of challenges with materials being obtained (national shortages etc) we were hardly aware of the impact. Steve kept us informed the whole way through and answered any questions we had very promptly. The whole team-John, Jim and James could not have been better and in spite of the upheaval, which was inevitable due to the task being undertaken, they made everything so much easier. They were so helpful, hardworking and professional. To say we are delighted with the finished product is an understatement. We had a vision of what we wanted but our expectations have been surpassed. We will be using Lexden Builders again and will always recommend them to anyone who wants the stress taken away, a professional job undertaken, to be kept fully informed the whole way through. Thank you Steve, John, Jim and James, we are over the moon.

It is hard to put into words just how pleased we are with our final result. From the initial consultation with Steve Friend the owner who project manages the scheme and working with his architect we were able to create an outline of what I had been thinking about for months. Then along came Jim, John and James (the three J’s) who made the outline a reality! No small detail was ignored, and from start to finish they all exhibited such a high level of professionalism and consideration for our home. Unfortunately for them we were in lockdown and they had to cope with a one year old, a five year old, a ball crazy dog and myself and my husband. I could not find any fault. They did everything in their power to ensure we had appliances for the duration of the work and I appreciate at times this must have been inconvenient for them- but they never let us know. No small detail was overlooked with many suggestions being spot on to achieve a flawless finish. I wish I could list all of the individuals who effectively became part of our family for the build but I am sure when you make the decision to hire Steve Friend of Lexden Builders and his team you will get to meet them all! I have engaged Lexden Builders a few times now, firstly for a garage conversion and then subsequently for a rebuild of two bathrooms. On every occasion, the work is carried out in such a professional manner. The team are really friendly, and Steve drops in on occasion to check on how the work is progressing. Steve comes round to the house to review what is needed, agrees an amount for the work and then provides dates. I have never known a job to move from the original date; it starts and finishes on time every time. When the work is carried out, everything is kept tidy and a clean-up is completed at the end of each day. They have regular suppliers that they use, provide brochures, set up appointments to go and select the items you want and then they take care of the rest. Some bu

From site walkthrough to final teardown of my old garage, everyone was so helpful! The day of the actual tear down, the garage was demolished, loaded into bins and hauled away, concrete pad and all, leaving me with one less thing to worry about ... All by 1pm! We couldn't be happier with the work carried out by Brown Construction! We had a single storey rear extension planned... and had various quotes from different companies, but after a lot of meetings, we decided to go with Browns as their quality of work was exactly what we were after. This was our first time undergoing a project like this so we found it quite daunting at first. After having an initial meeting with Adam (owner), we were then introduced to our project manager James who took us through all the work that needed to be carried out along with schedules and costs. This made us feel more reassured by their whole approach and process to the project. Big thanks to the team, Raoul, Simon, Jamie, Martin, Florin, Petru and of course the other contractors that were called in (all whom have worked with Browns for years now). They all did an amazing job. They took great care and pride in their work (tidying and cleaning up after every day) and it shows. Attention to detail is second to none. Everyone was really friendly and nice to have around for the duration of 4 months. Also a big thanks to Hayley and Kayleigh in the office who kept us informed of everything as the project went along. Always responding to our emails/messages :) We can honestly say that we did not expect everything to run so smoothly! We’ve had friends tell us horror stories about delays, bad timings etc James did an amazing job organising the whole project and keeping everything on track for us. Everything was literally bang on time and on budget as per quote and schedule! Anything that came up that wasn't initially quoted would be briefed to us before further work was carried out. Maybe we were one of the lucky ones, but judging from the way Brown Construction conduct themselves and the great team they have, we're pretty sure their other clients are just as happy. We cannot speak more highly of Brown Construction and have already passed on their details to friends who are now planning on getting work done by Browns after seeing our extension. The space has really changed our family home and we feel extremely lucky to have had Brown Construction achieve this for us! We’ll be in touch again in the near future for more renovations! :)

I cannot recommend Brown Construction highly enough. They have just completed our ground floor extension, patio and... k-render and the quality of work has been exceptional. They spend a lot of time scoping out the project such that they were able to provide a line by line fee estimate which they then stuck to rigidly - this meant we knew exactly what it was going to cost us and had no surprises. They project manage everything to ensure everything runs smoothly both in terms of the actual work on site but also the overall administration of the project. This takes all of the stress out of things. Adam, who runs the business, is a perfectionist and this is reflected in his choice of contractors. We would highly recommend.

The team did a house refurb and a loft extension for us. Overall end to end service has been great with a fab back... office team. Despite a few issues along the way, the team dealt with each one in turn and we're really happy with how the house now looks but externally and internally. Adam the owner, does take a personal interest in all the projects and it was great to have been able to provide him with our feedback directly. Definitely would recommend using Brown Construction.

Browns built a new second floor bathroom extension for us and as usual the quality of finish is excellent and the team... involved were all very professional throughout the project. This is the third time we have had Browns carryout projects for us and we would happily use them again.

Browns construction demolished and rebuilt our extension in 2020. From our first meeting with Adam, throughout the... build and during project close out they have been great to work with. The original scope came in to cost and any agreed extras that arose during the build were managed and included without any problems. There were no major issues during the build, no problem was insurmountable. The various tradesmen that worked on our project were skilled and professional and due to having to stay home for the pandemic, we got to know our builders very well when they were eventually allowed to return to work. James the PM made sure everything went according to plan and was always available on the phone or on his regular site visits. Michaela and the rest of the office staff were also incredibly helpful and responsive to questions. Our project is complete now and looks absolutely fantastic, we couldn’t be happier. Browns construction are a very capable and professional company and obviously have a great team of people working there. We would recommend them highly to anyone undertaking similar projects.

Became aware of Brown Construction when they were on a job 3 doors up from us and was impressed by the way they try... and manage the site ,usually tidying up at the end of each working day and minimising inconvienence to the neighbours. Even entertianing the hundreds of " What you doing Mr Man?" from our then 2yr old ,digger mad grandson!. I enqiured with the home owner who praised them so after 4 other quotes came in ,,,we chose BC. They rely on a lot on Trusted trades to supply the relevent service ( and are under no illusion that under par results mean no further work!) I cannot fault the professionalism and politeness of the guys used. The First guys here were BC employed chaps led by Mike and assisted by two other youngsters George & Rob, I mention them because starting in November it was cold and wet and , at times, |Very muddy !! but maintained a cheery disposition ( and more questions from our now 3yr Grandson!) The Site Manager , along with Mike were very helpful with a few little changes that arose mid build, being odd measurements or things not lining up , the need of a roof light that i ommitted from the plans!! Even the finishing appearance 'didnt look right!? so helped me with their experience.. The communication from the off

Cannot recommend Thistle Trade Group Ltd highly enough. From start to finish they were absolutely brilliant. They completely transformed my kitchen and separate dining room into one huge room which we all love. They completed the job within my budget and within their time frame, even putting in extra hours in the day when there was a delay (not their fault, issues with the electrics in my house which they fixed even though it wasn’t part of the job). Sean and his team were also brilliant with my little boy (who decided he was scared of all the loud noises) and my big friendly labrador (who decided all these workmen were his new best friends!) Will definitely be using them again for any future projects.

Builder Recommendation!!We have just finished a large extension project in our house. We used Thistle Trade Group and were really impressed with Lee in the office, Sean as the foreman and all his trades. Clear pricing and finished within our deadline. I would totally recommend them and the quality of their work. Also – we installed a new alarm system using SSS (safe simple secure). Fab system and amazing customer service.
