As members of the Asbestos Removal Contractors Association (ARCA) we have been represented on the ARCA Governing Council for over a decade. A brief history LAR was founded in 1997 after a management buyout of Laing Asbestos Removal – part of John Laing Construction Ltd. As a result the directors and many of the operational staff have over 30 years’ experience in the removal of asbestos, having safely and effectively carried out projects across the UK, Europe and Africa with project values of up to £3.5 million. Upon graduating, Tim started his career with an Esher based building company where he focused predominantly on, and ended up running, the structural side of projects whilst becoming a fully qualified carpenter. During this time he joined forces with Adam. With Adam’s experience in the industry and Tim’s background in engineering, they eventually began running large projects together, complementing and combining their skill sets. After several years working alongside one another, Ash Carpentry and Construction was established.
